Dunn and Braxton Limited - Our client is one of the largest Agritech Starch Manufacturers specializing in Cassava processing to FMCGs, Pharmaceuticals, PGS, and many others.

Job Title: HR Manager (Manufacturing Firm)

Location: Agbara, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Our client needs a well-qualified and highly motivated individual to serve as Human Resource Manager in their organization. The role will develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are suitable for meeting the company’s objectives.
  • S/he will be Responsible for managing every aspect of the employment processes, including orientation, training new staff members, Appraisal, Payroll, Performance and Talent management. Maintain employee records both hardcopy and soft copy on ERP application software. Relationship management with host communities and regulatory authorities. Head administrative management and lead departmental weakly meetings
  • The ideal candidate for this role is expected to have an in-depth knowledge of HR policies and practices and its impact on employees. S/He must be highly skilled in conflict resolution and must be able to increase employee engagement in the workplace. The individual must demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and have a track record of taking and delivering relevant initiatives to organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement human resources management plan which includes strategies for staff development and retention
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of labor regulations in Nigeria and ensure that all Company’s staff policies comply.
  • Review and update Company’s Staff Handbook as required, to ensure that it remains relevant to Company’s needs.
  • Ensure that all staff activities are ethical and comply with Company’s values and the policies in the Staff Handbook.
  • Maintain Company’s organogram and generate or modify job descriptions as needed, in consultation with the relevant departments.
  • Support employee engagement activities and help drive HR process automation and policy updates
  • Assist Line Managers in the appraisal process, including ensuring that performance appraisals are aligned with job plans, commence at the appropriate time, and are completed by the specified deadline.
  • Manage the recruitment process to ensure hiring candidates with the right skills, experience and values to achieve Company’s objectives
  • Liaise with HR partners/consultants to ensure that vacancies are properly advertised and recruitment processes are followed to fruition.
  • Ensure that all recruitment activities and processes are carried out in compliance with Company’s approved policies and procedures.
  • Prepare employment contracts for new employees.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive induction plan and induction pack for all new employees and ensure that all staff receives an appropriate and thorough induction during the first three months of their employment.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of employee information (contracts, leave dates, performance reviews, references, queries, etc.) and ensure that information on all employees is up-to-date.
  • Ensure that the filing, storage and security of all HR-related documents for all employees are up to date and safe.
  • Carry out all duties assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Masters, MBA, HND, BSc from a reputable institution.
  • Professional Certification is a plus.
  • 3 - 6 years’ work experience in a well-structured manufacturing firm
  • Professional qualification in Personnel Management or Human Resource Management
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing HR strategies and plans.
  • Experience of developing and implementing HR processes, such as staff handbooks, employee surveys, performance evaluations, employee inductions, etc.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Advanced level competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Effective conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and relationship-building skills and ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.

Compensation
N200,000:00 - N300,000 (Slightly Negotiable) Monthly plus other benefits.
