Black Sparrow Express Courier Services Limited is a newly registerd science-based company with headquarters in Abuja, which provides technical support services to mainly public sector clients. Our specific service offering includes the design and development of scientific laboratories, training of personnel in specialized scientific techniques, procurement, distribution, installation of specialized science/medical equipment, and case work. Our target clients include government agencies hospitals, laboratories, academic institutions, and research and development organizations.

Job Function
Technical / Science Management:

• The overall goal of the scientific analyst is to provide critical support to our mission which is administered by the management team with which you would be engaged.
• You are therefore expected to be a solid team player, always putting the mission and the team above personal interests.

Responsibilities
As a scientific analyst you would be required to apply your scientific expertise, training, and experience into achieving set goals and objectives. You would be expected to:

• Take ownership of projects assigned to you by your line manager from (C to C) concept to completion
• Design, develop and deliver analytical procedures training to be delivered at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels
• Manage trainings and capacity building projects from concept to completion (includes budgetary preparation, technical equipment sourcing, installation, operation and maintenance as well as clientele staff training).
• Facilitating smooth work interaction and information flow among stakeholders (clients, colleagues, experts, and external collaborators).
• Coordinate, control and supervise project execution; ensuring that project is completed within timeframe, scope and budget.
• Performs project documentation - report writing and editing of completed projects.
• Review and or preparation of training graphics and presentations.
• Conducts background research for current and proposed projects including proposal writing, concept notes and budgetary allocation.
• Travel to multiple locations across Nigeria/abroad to support forensic capacity building initiatives.
• Submit a weekly progress report of your activities
• All other related tasks as assigned to you by your line manager.

Criteria

• For this position you are required to possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a 2.1 or 1st Class Degree in Physical / Pure / Life / Medical Sciences or closely related Science University Degree.
• 0 - 5 years work experience.
• Aged 21 -27 years old.

Skills:

• Personnel in this position are expected to possess excellent oral and written command of the English language.
• This role requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages (Power point, word, excel access).
• Great interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills are a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive base salary (N80,000 - N100,000 monthly) + plus performance-based compensation (typically internally set as a percentage of project value) & discretionary allowance.
