Job Title: Senior Product Manager

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities

• Define the needs of our clients in order to define a product vision and product roadmap;
• Create clear goals for the team. Efficiently execute to ship product and deliver impact for our business and users;
• You are extremely customer-centric & put the user’s interest at the locus of all the decisions. You firmly believe that what is right for the user is right for the business. To that, you challenge the status quo, help establish customer centricity for The Digital Banking business unit and inspire people toward a unified outcome;
• You have a strong growth & experiment-driven mindset with high proficiency in quantitative analyses, influencing with data (e.g. funnel, cohorts, segments, benchmarks), building business cases, and articulately communicating data-driven insights to all stakeholder;
• You thrive working in ambiguity & a fast-paced environment. Amidst this ambiguity, you develop, maintain & revise prioritized product roadmaps and backlogs and then efficiently execute to ship the product experiences & functionalities which deliver user delight and positively impact our business;
• You regularly track the progress on OKRs & ensure the team does not lose sight of the North Star metrics;
• You easily & articulately communicate in a written & spoken form. You know how to tune your communication & influence outcomes basis the audience (C-level vs. Investors vs. day to day stakeholders);
• Regardless of your title, you’re not afraid to get into the trenches and get your hands dirty with execution;
• Your fierceness in challenging the status quo is only paled by the kindness & the respect you extend to your team members & stakeholders;
• Coordinate a team of designers and developers, preparing the product specifications and following their implementation;
• Create clear goals for the team. Efficiently execute to ship product and deliver impact for our business and users;
• Work with the Risk, Data Science and Growth department to ensure that the product is scalable and optimized;
• Define the needs of our clients in order to define a product vision and product roadmap;

• Work with User Researchers and Product Analysts to ensure the product is matching our customers expectations and ahead of competition;
• Build alignment around the product roadmap across Functions and BUs. Communicate the vision and roadmap to key stakeholders;
• Define and measure the metrics that inform the impact and success of your product.
• Despite all of the superpowers, you have no chip on the shoulder & are fun to work with.

Qualification & Skills

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree
• 5 years of building scalable & high audience engagement/retention-based consumer-facing products in emerging markets;
• Prior experience building mobile-first Neobanks and/or Fintech products lending, savings, payments, investments, insurance & remittance);
• Prior experience working on AI projects and should possess AI skills including
• Knowledge in Programming languages (python, R, java)
• Linear algebra and statistics
• Signal processing techniques
• Neural network architectures
• Prior experience working in a cross-cultural and international environment, alongside all levels of stakeholders;
• Prior experience of building & scaling own consumer start-up which had a successful exit;
• Strong organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills;
• Creative problem solver mindset with a data-driven and KPI-oriented approach using such tools as SQL, Python and Excel;
• Solid track record of achievement (academic, professional, and/or sport);
• Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to get hands dirty at all times;
• Hungry to stay up to date with regards to latest developments in the Nigerian FinTech and regulatory landscape;
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
