We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Spray Painter - Automobile

Location: Ode Remo, Ogun

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled spray painter to join our production team. As a spray painter, you will be responsible for filling, smoothing, and repairing each product's surface, mixing the coating liquids, and spraying each layer according to specifications.
• You may also be required to paint decorative designs using stencils and coat hard-to-reach areas using a hand brush.

Job Description

• Meeting with clients and work managers to discuss design and color choices
• Set up the spray equipment
• Removing rust and other loose materials using acid or a wire brush.
• Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.
• Applying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed.
• Selecting and mixing the required coating liquids
• Mix paint by eye or using computer technology to ensure the best colour match.
• Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern.
• Spraying machines, products, and wall areas using industry techniques.
• Spraying designs using stencils, if required.
• Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job.
• Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried.
• Carrying out a proper examination to see if certain parts of the vehicle need to be replaced, protected, or sanded to ensure that painting is properly done
• Ensuring that hand tools are properly maintained
• Properly maintaining paint booth by replacing filters and fan belts when necessary
• Administering the mix of colors and ensuring that they match with original color
• Applying primers and repainting surfaces with the use of spray guns

Qualification

• Diploma in a relevant course/Spray painting vocational training certification
• Trade Test
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Technical:

• Ability in mixing of paint and great spraying technique.
• Ability to see subtle color differences.
• Experience with breathing masks and protective clothing.
• Ability to work with acid and harsh chemicals.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Non-Technical:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work overtime when needed.

Remuneration
N70,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
