Growth Executive at Umba Nigeria

Umba combines advanced tools and techniques to optimize risk exposures in emerging markets that are currently underserved by traditional banking services. The Umba platform allows users to apply, receive and repay microloans through their mobile phone while using machine learning to underwrite using a risk score that is highly accurate and improves over time. Umba has just rolled out a new online POS solution and is teaming up with some of the biggest e-commerce merchants to increase customers access to online goods and services.

About the role

• The growth executive in Nigeria will lead the development, coordination, and execution of the company’s commercial goals and objectives.
• You will closely work with the product, customer experience, marketing, and product teams toward the common goal of achieving revenue growth and market leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage in cold calling to create interest in company products and services, generate new business leads, and arrange customer meetings.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations, including high-level solution overviews and/or demos.
• Understand customers’ business needs and challenges and position the relevant solutions that address those needs.
• Develop a pipeline by using the company’s sales methodology and processes.
• Manage sales opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
• Managing accounts following closure for expanded sales.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our good candidate would need to have the following key attributes:

• 1 - 3 years of sales or pre-sales experience preferred
• Experience selling SAAS products is required.

Job Qualifications:

• Excellent Presentation skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Status:
