Job Title: Resume Writer

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos (Hybrid)

Reports To: The Managing Director

Job Summary / Purpose

• To understand and match the needs of our clients to provide quality tailored CV writing services, Cover letters and State of Purpose (SOPs) whilst continually meeting targets.

Job Description

• Write and edit CV and Cover Letter.
• Write Cv from scratch using client’s existing resume and information provided in a questionnaire.
• Reviewing job descriptions and other documents provided by employers to ensure the cv is tailored to each position.
• Writing cover letters that introduce the applicant and explain why they are qualified for the job in question.
• Writing effective cv that highlight a candidate’s strengths, skills, and qualifications.
• Drafting letters of recommendation for clients who are applying to graduate schools or seeking other professional opportunities.
• Directly interact with employer as necessary by phone or email to understand and highlight relevant experience and skills for the cv.
• Create a cv with the correct format and content to emphasize on the skills, experience and achievements of the candidates.
• Identify and use the right type of format for every candidate as a cv must be tailored to the specific needs of each country/industry.
• Ensure there are no grammatical errors, spelling mistakes or factual errors while writing the resume

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• 2 - 5 years professional experience in Writing and editing Cvs and cover letters .
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• An understanding of various industries and job functions including entry level, technical, professional, and executive roles.
• Good typing and proofreading skills.
• Past experience writing and editing CVs and Cover Letters .
• An understanding of various industries and job functions including entry level, technical, professional, and executive roles.
• Knowledge of various cv formats and the ability to determine when each is appropriate to a specific individual.
