Job Title:Senior Discipline Plant Engineer (M / E / I / R)
To support provision of broad technical frontline support for maintaining the technical integrity of the rotating equipment assets in the assigned plant area.
To enforce and optimise maintenance and operating strategies /standards in order to achieve /sustain rotating equipment reliability and availability in a cost-effective manner.
Main Accountabilities
Support the Bad Actors Management process and the MTO process for the respective discipline equipment, within the Area, to identify and eliminate recurrent failures, potential threats and shortfalls in equipment and system performance. Raise job requests and share periodic reports on performance with the respective discipline teams in PI department, thereby ensuring that NLNG meets its Annual Delivery Plan (ADP) commitment.
Supervise, monitor and verify installation, commissioning, start-up and operation of rotating equipment as and when required to prevent costly delays that impact of LNG, LPG or condensate production. Supervise and ensure quality control during rotating equipment overhauls & shutdowns to prevent re-work and loss of revenue. Ensure and verify that the proper procedures are used when starting / stopping / changeover of rotating equipment.
Carry out all necessary safety critical functions as identified, assigned and defined in the bowties to ensure that the effectiveness of the control barriers and recovery measures are maintained including initiation of plant changes.
Participate in the planning and execution of scheduled inspections of Gas Turbines and Instrument Air Compressors to achieve safe and optimized outage duration without rework and under agreed premise and scope
Support the reliability engineering in their investigations of plant trips, equipment failures and root cause analysis on Rotating Equipment to find lasting solutions that mitigate / prevent loss of LNG production and revenue.
Carry out the Plants Equipment Condition and Performance Monitoring Programme of Rotating Equipment for assigned area and participate in S- RCM studies in order to develop strategies for risk and reliability management. Provide early detection and remedial advice.
Liaise with the CPM sections (Contracting, Procurement and Materials) a plan of action to ensure timely availability of spare parts for discipline equipment and co-ordinate with peer area maintenance and discipline engineers the stock rationalization for equipment within the asset areas to minimize equipment down time due to spares unavailability.
Support the provision of QA services and advice to the Workshop and Maintenance departments. as well as external repair shops regarding rotating equipment overhaul and repairs, to guarantee compliance relevant industry standards and DEP as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience, out of which a minimum of 3 years of which must have been spent in a Senior Engineering position in rotating or mechanical equipment on LNG plant.
