Job Purpose Statement
The role of Fund Accountant/Reporting Analyst is to be responsible for preparing consolidated accounts and investor reporting for investment funds.
This role also entails the holder Deliver accurate and timely production and delivery of reporting of investments funds by ensuring efficient and accurate trade processing, NAV review, Corporate Actions processing, security valuation, financial statements production, query handling and other ad hoc reporting for funds
Works closely with senior member of the team to ensure that team members comply with operating policies, procedures and guidelines for completion of Fund Accounting processes.

Perform daily accounting of assigned funds.
Perform month end investment reconciliations and account closings
Maintain accounting system to record all fund transactions on Fixed income securities, Equities and Money Market.
Preparation and submission of all Statutory returns----NAICOM, SEC,CAC,FRC etc
Analyze root causes of accounting discrepancies and provide corrective actions.
Work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Resolve accounting variances and estimate monthly closing accruals.
Maintain accounting system to record all fund transactions for Investment properties, Commercial Loans, Investment in Associates & Subsidiaries
Constant account ledger health checks for investment funds

Responding to Auditor inquiries and prepare financial statements required for auditing
Daily/Weekly Monitor and management of cash flows and expenses
Ensuring service level agreements are maintained in relation to reporting

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognized University (Accounting, Finance or Finance related field)
Master's Degree in related field is an added advantage.
Desired work experience:
1-3+ years’ work-experience in a business finance role
Possess a strong knowledge of fund operations, including valuation, accounting and payment procedures.
Strong team player, organized and possess a high attention to detail.
Strong analytical, data gathering and communication skills
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while complying with all Company rules and regulations.
Financial industry experience preferred but open if relevant to digital banking goals
