Lorache Consulting Limited - Our client, an Agro company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: WTP and ETP In-charge

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Production Head
Supervises: WTP and ETP Operator, Helpers and Trainee

Position Summary
Accountabilities:

• Supervise all aspects of the water and waste water management and effectively provide direction to lower level plant operators.
• Prepare WTP and ETP related SOP’s, Protocol’s, Report’s as applicable
• Give the WTP and ETP related trainings to direct reportees and any new employee assigned this role.
• Implement new processes or process improvements in WTP and ETP for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Verify raw materials (like nutrients and chemical etc...) availability, Equipment readiness, Utilities, Personal Protective Equipments for Hygiene practices, manpower availability based on production plan and take corrective actions as required
• Supervise all aspects of the water and waste water management and effectively provide direction to lower level plant operators.
• Ensure WTP and ETP is operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner, and in compliance with the Pollution control board norms.
• Superior knowledge of the operating principles of equipment and machinery used in the WTP and ETP plant.
• Preparation of monthly and weekly production plan and execute as per the plan.
• Ensure actions on issues identified during production planning.
• Monitoring of water and waste water production data, Quality parameters of product, utility consumption on daily basis, monthly and yearly basis.
• Report back to the immediate superior of any issue that is identified and resolved effectively.
• Monitor every month the achieved variable cost as per budget and propose to reduce the cost using various methodology in process activity in the plant.
• Coordinate with cross functional department for materials and process requirement to achieve budget plan.
• Based on daily performance, discuss with shop floor employees for improvements.
• Review out of Specifications, investigate to identify the root cause and implement effectively Corrective and Preventive actions.
• Ensure that all Standard Operating procedures are followed and compliance maintained as per requirements.
• Liaison with External agency like State and Central Pollution control Board.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.
• Other Duties may be assigned as needed.

Retirements

• Master's Degree in Environmental Chemist / Graduate in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent
• 10 - 12 Years of experience in Distillery / Sugar/Pharmaceuticals Industry out of which min 9 years of strong skill at Water and Wastewater Management.
