GPON work in both emergency and development context.

Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced Software Architect and UX-UI Designer/Researcher that will be responsible for collecting, researching, investigating and evaluating user requirements. Their responsibility is to deliver an outstanding user experience providing an exceptional and intuitive application design, also, to make intuitive high-level decisions for software development, with the ability to see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.
• Someone that is experienced in designing and possess the ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions. The goal is to provide a framework for the development of a software or system that will result in high quality IT solutions.
• Lastly, you will be responsible for delivering the best online user experience, which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will be designing ideas using various methods and latest technology. You will be designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, forms, and widgets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other team members to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
• Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
• Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
• Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
• Approve final product before launch
• plan and implement new designs 
• Optimize existing user interface designs
• Communicate with project coordinators, and other stake holders to understand their business goals and objectives
• Create prototypes for new product ideas
• Conduct an ongoing user research

Qualifications 

• Proven experience as software architect (Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an UI-UX Designer or similar role)
• Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, NET, HTML, JavaScript and UI/UX de etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
• Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail
• High quality organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to discuss and explain design options
• Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
• Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.

Salary and Conditions
In accordance with GPON Terms of Employment. The income will be subject to statutory deductions as per applicable Nigeria laws. The employee is responsible for the tax returns.
