JUBOB Keystone Engineering Nigeria Limited is an indigenous registered company, having its headquarters office located in Benin City, Edo State. It provides EPIC and Project Management Services for the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Industries.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Structural Engineer

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carries out preliminary, engineering studies / in-house design for the structural discipline for the project work packages as required.
• Carries out and supervises site activities during installation, construction, and commissioning engineering.
• Interacts with Third Parties such as Certifying bodies.
• Ensures that all engineering deliverables are prepared on time and meet company’s specifications.
• Prepares structural general arrangement drawings, specifications, MTO, calculation notes.
• Prepares structural design reports and local checks covering in-place analysis, lifting analysis, etc.
• Coordinates the activity of a draftsman for the execution of the structural drawings.
• Carries out simplified stress analysis calculations and checks.
• Prepares technical evaluations and approval of structural contractor’s drawings where applicable.
• Reads and interprets facility engineering drawings, designs and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
• Interfaces with Procurement Dept., Project & Construction Sections for structural engineering related issues.
• Draws up & cross-check relevant procedures, international standards (API, AISC, ISO etc.) & Company General Specifications.
• Checks that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the statement of requirements
• Participates in HAZID / HAZOP and constructability review workshops and studies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. / B.Eng. (Civil/Structures) with 10 plus years’ experience in an Engineering Organization in a similar design position.
• 10 years work experience.
• Experience in offshore hook-ups, major oil & gas projects, implementing designs & drawings.
• Good understanding of project procedures and their requirements. Also rigging requirements and safety planning
• Good analytical skills
• Good knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and standards
• Reading and understanding of erection drawings.
