We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounting Officer

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Maintenance and management of the School's payroll 
• Computation of other employees' benefits 
• Ensure full compliance with all tax laws relating to employees 
• Remittance of pension and other payroll deduction. 
• Filing and Remittance of Withholding tax deducted from vendors or contractors. 
• Liaising with colleagues on bookkeeping especially those related to school fees 
• Excellent understanding of accounting policies, standards and processes 
• Computer literate with experience in using Accounting Systems especially excel and quickbooks 
• Ensure correct posting of transactions in the financial system 
• Awareness and ability to demonstrate the importance of ethics & appropriate codes of conduct in the workplace 
• Explaining billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients 
• Technical skills and competence 
• Liaising with Bankers on bank transaction issues 
• Assist in Month-end closing process and balance sheet reconciliation 
• Producing reports and recommendations following internal audits 
• Assist with budget forecasts for the company 
• Liaising with internal and external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise 
• Conversant with online payment systems/platforms 
• Ability to achieve daily targets while attending to impromptu activities that may occur

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 / month.
