The Business Analysts will be responsible for conducting market analysis, analyzing both product lines and the overall profitability of the business. In addition, develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.
He/She analyzes the business and operational performance; cost data, identifies wasteful processes, and makes recommendations to improve efficiency. Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits.
Responsibilities
Creating a detailed business analysis and business cases; outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business. Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders
gather data/intelligence on competitors & industry in general using publicly available information and other best estimates – to cover business performance & benchmarking (cost comparisons, efficiency ratios, current/upcoming production capacities,), price comparisons, Supply/Demand balance etc
Carryout market research/analysis that will provide insight into customers behavior as a critical impute into customer experience valuation. Develop benchmark analysis with industry competition and deepen the conversion of contractors from site mix to ready mix, within relevant markets
Responsible for Sales & Operational planning (S&OP) coordination and monitoring across the business to ensure business and operational execution optimization. Coordinate budgeting and forecasting variance analysis
Support the business in assessing and recommending value adding projects/initiatives identified and proactively identify opportunities and propose to the BU with necessary back up report
Research, preparation of justifications documents (executive summaries, detailed backup write-up, financial models etc) necessary to confirm viability or projects/business initiatives and key considerations for their implementation. These will cover the setup of new ready mix plant operation and other strategic initiative that may arise from time to time.
Lead reporting on all relevant performance measurement metrics in line with evolving BU requirements e.g. Commercial, Maintenance, Logistics, HSE KPIs as required for the monthly BU Operational Meetings
Education / Qualifications
A University Degree in Sciences or Social Sciences or its equivalent
A professional qualification in Economics, statistics or Accounting (desirable)
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in cement industry and on similar role
Have a proven track record of working closely with commercial teams, sales and operational teams
Familiarity with Business Intelligence applications
Knowledge and practical experience in the development and use data analytics tools (required)
SAP Intermediate Knowledge
Technical / Functional Skills:
Commercial, market facing background in sales/marketing or business development
Knowledge of the construction and/or infrastructure development segment, a plus
Good understanding and working knowledge of financials - P&L, Balance sheet, statement of cash flow structure.
Excellent Analytical Skills and fluency with IT tools (in particularly advanced use of Excel and proficiency with Word/ppt.)
