We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the logistics industry, and company services to enable effective cross selling Research new sales leads business with Abuja branch ensuring an ongoing and robust pipeline of new opportunities. Researching and identifying new business opportunities (including new markets, trends, partnerships) or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods: cold calls, and emails.
  • Communicating new product/services developments to existing and prospective clients.
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive Overseeing the development of marketing strategies.
  • Generating leads and monitoring cold calls to prospective clients.
  • Fostering and developing long-term relationships with clients.
  • Providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support to clients.
  • Ability to interpret and use internal or external data provided to speak to customer needs and communicate business insights. Create and agree on monthly sales target with management.
  • Knowledge on B2B Marketing.

Key Success Factors

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification.
  • At least 3 years previous experience in a Business Development Associate role.
  • Planning and overseeing the integration of new business Consultative sales experience.
  • Develop quotations and proposals to be presented to potential new customers.
  • Attending exhibitions, trade shows and relevant Industry networking events when required.
  • Track and record activity of new accounts, submit weekly sales reports and present at sales meetings.
  • Identify the key decision makers and schedule at least 4 monthly face-to-face meetings where applicable.
  • Number and value of new accounts in the space of three (3) months Request referrals from all customers.
  • Get 3-4 referrals from each customer in your portfolio.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to use market data to educate customers.
  • Great network and ability to build relationships.
  • Knowledge on Database management software - information management tool, that assists with the storage of data for reference and analysis.

Salary
N100,000 monthly
