Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Lagos
Work Type: Full Time

Role Overview

• We are looking for driven passionate problem solvers and self-starters to join our team. In this role,
• You will be responsible for tracking, monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities. These tasks are essential to ensure the company's performance and success; you will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities.
• In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.

Job Responsibilities
What you’ll do:

• Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy
• Oversee accounting daily operations
• Work with the Fraud team to review financial statements to pinpoint possible fraud and errors
• Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data while setting up and monitoring accounting KPIs
• Perform and oversee annual audits
• Calculate and file corporate tax returns for the company to the nation’s revenue authorities

Job Requirements
What you’ll need (Requirements):

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in a related field
• 7 years+ experience and results working in the PTSP/Fintech ecosystem
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Projection and forecasting skills
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• Perceptive and a fast learner: you’re able to quickly understand the technology that powers Traction Apps, and able to help customers achieve their goals, even if they’re unable to articulate those goals
• A positive, polite, confident, sincere, and friendly disposition
• The ability to solve problems and to think quickly on your feet
