Job Title: Head of Rehabilitation
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

General Responsibilities
To undertake any training (managerial and professional) identified by staff appraisal.
To maintain confidentiality at all times relating to the patients, staff, and the Company.
To actively participate in the Staff Appraisal Process.
To be familiar and comply with relevant Operational, Personnel, Health, and Safety policies and procedures
Operational Management:
To be actively responsible for the management and daily running of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department
Coordinate and manage physiotherapy services and associated therapies, providing clinical direction and leadership for the department. Ensure management of the team is in line with company Policies and Procedures.
To identify and implement innovative service developments towards service improvement.
To ensure that the service remains responsive to the needs of patients and be actively involved in the design and delivery of services across the facilities
To represent the rehabilitation department when required, ensuring appropriate liaison with the other Heads of Therapy and Nursing services
To ensure that the service-specific training needs of therapy and other staff are encouraged.
Job Role
Independently triage, assess, evaluate, and diagnose patients with highly complex MSK/Orthopedic disorders and possible multiple pathologies using advanced critical thinking, and expert clinical and diagnostic reasoning skills to enable the development of immediate management plan which will meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Undertake expert and advanced clinical interventions, e.g., manipulation, maintain patient document records to reflect care provided, and provide highly specialized clinical advice to patients and their families, the multidisciplinary team, and other physiotherapists to facilitate networking and to share best practices through the provision of specialist professional advice.
Work collaboratively with medical, health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to maintain and develop the scope of practice/ knowledge and pathways within the specialist field to ensure the delivery of a coordinated interdisciplinary service for individual patients and the service.
Facilitate audit and service improvement activities, engage data/clinical outcomes/research to promote service development, and contribute to study in the specialist areas which will directly contribute to patient management and also service improvement
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the service/organization, including identifying opportunities for service development, planning, organizing, leading, and assigning/delegating professional development activities, e.g. training, research engagement forum, to foster peer, professional, and service developments, redesign work within the specialist area, including influencing clinical change and management, to enhance the patient journey.
In an advisory and teaching capacity demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and skills about conditions in the specialist field to the multidisciplinary team including other physiotherapists, students, GPs and nurses, and AHPs, and work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders for the development of training and education.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy
Master's in Physiotherapy
No lesser than 4 years of clinical experience or
Must possess relevant experience in previous position
Knowledge / Skill / Qualification:
Being enthusiastic, proactive, and result driven to succeed
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Practical interpersonal and communication skills within the industry
Able to support, motivate and develop staff to deliver business goals
