Job Title: Inspection and Recovery Officer

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Description

• We are interested in hiring a highly detailed oriented individual as a Property Inspector for our Real Estate company
• As an Inspection and recovery officer, you will be responsible for inspecting the properties thoroughly and following up with rental payment
• You will also be responsible for determining the maintenance needs by performing inspections appropriate checks on the property.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess condition, safety, and compliance.
• Reporting findings and making recommendations to management regarding maintenance issues.
• Examining plumbing systems for leaks or other problems such as corroded pipes or exposed electrical wires.
• Accompany prospective clients during visits to and inspections of property, advising them on the suitability and value of the homes they are visiting.
• Inspecting roofs for damage such as leaks or cracks that could lead to water damage
• Prepare detailed reports of findings, including digital photographs, and submit to clients in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections conducted, including date, time, property address, and client information
• Adhere to strict confidentiality standards when handling sensitive client information
• Schedule appointments with clients in a prompt and professional manner
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals
• Follow up with clients after inspections to answer any questions or concerns
• Perform additional duties as requested by clients or company management

Recovery:

• Review rent list, contact tenants for rent due payment.
• Meet with customers to work out over due with payment options.
• Working with the company’s lawyer to initiate legal actions against customers that refused to pay.
• Monitor tenants in properties managed and contact overdue tenants for payments.

Preferred Background, Skills, and Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in related field will be an advantage.
• 1 - 2 years work experience.
• Relevant experience in real estate and property management
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Customer service and Relationship management skill.
• Adequate project management.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
• Candidate who reside in Ikorodu or its environs would be preferred
