Job Title: Team Lead, Export Finance

Location: Lagos

Grade: Assistant Manager - Deputy Manager

Job Summary

• Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully developing and managing business relationships, partnerships, and collaborations within the Structured Commodity Trade and Export Market segment – Expertise to cut across all categories of non-oil commodities exports, including but not limited to agricultural commodities, metals, and solid minerals, manufactured goods, arts and crafts, entertainment products, cross border services and Invincibles.
• This is a position of leadership with responsibility for operational excellence, staff and business development, client relations, and technical delivery.

Key Job Function / Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direct supervision for Regional Export Finance Officers across all the regions, zones, and branches in the Bank.
• Drive the growth and profitability of the Bank’s Export business by working with regions, zones, and branches across the Bank to achieve their export business budget for incremental export proceed receipts.
• Provide specialist support to all regions, zones, and SBUs across the Bank in the prospecting of export business, marketing of export finance products, customer conversion, and relationship management.
• Conduct export business appraisal visits, produce specialist appraisal reports and provide technical advice to all SBUs and credit officers within their assigned regions on the structuring and monitoring of all export finance transactions.
• Actively build the Bank’s Export finance franchise by increasing awareness and market presence bank-wide.

Required Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Geography, International Relations, Business Administration, and / or other related disciplines.
• MBA or MSc in related relevant disciplines and Professional Qualifications is an added advantage.

Required Experience:

• Minimum experience: 10-12 years experience in developing and managing export business relationships, developing export finance products, and structuring, evaluating, and monitoring export finance facilities and transactions.
