Job Title: Event Curator

Basic Function
Responsible for Conceptualizing innovative ideas for events across membership segments and beyond, with the objective of retention of memberships for the Club;
Develop and manage an optimum events structure for the Club and for the company.
This job calls for a highly skilled Events Curator to make Member gatherings interesting, effective, profitable, and most importantly memorable.
Principal Duties
Provide quarterly in advance, a confirmed Events calendar for members / guests;
Seek out /identify potential sponsors and partners for events;
Issue comprehensive Events briefs for planning and execution purposes;
Coordinate all moving parts including identification of guest speakers, performers, guest chefs, sommeliers,
Lead /support promotional activities;
Prepare events budgets and ensure that budgets are maintained;
Manage supplier relationships and ensure excellent customer service & quality delivery from start to finish;
Perform risk management to minimize risks. Resolve any problems that may occur;
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for each event – invites, accounting etc.
Manage enquiries / meetings around Events enquiries;
Identify low activity periods and maximize potential for use by offering events that add value;
Event Coordination, including researching types of events, possible speakers, event planning and maintaining the events calendar;
Identify and compare different vendors (decorators, photographers etc.);
Liaise and negotiate with vendors to obtain the most favorable terms;
Carefully oversee the event & offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner;
Handle post-event reports;
Develop digital event content for social media
Develop feedback and other surveys;
Assist with content from events for the Monthly newsletter;
Perform any other tasks requested by management. Physical, Mental and Visual
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years work experience.

Experience:
Prior Club experience is an added benefit
Knowledge of events curation through practical experience.
Excellent knowledge of event management, public relations & branding acquired through college level of course of study, training, or equivalent experience
Knowledge and contacts in entertainment/ wines & spirits environment acquired through five years of similar experience
Must possess basic office computer skills (i.e. – Word, excel, power point, adobe, outlook, etc.) for business communication
