Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Quantity surveyor will be responsible for managing the costs on construction projects, ensure construction projects are completed within its projected budget, provide cost and material estimates, draw up projected budgets, work alongside the team, noting any design changes and their effect on cost.
• He/She will liaise often with the builders, architects, engineers, and other contractors.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
• Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
• Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
• Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
• Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders, travel from the office to various sites as required.

Skills and Requirements

• Qualifications: B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
• Experience: 1 - 2  years experience
• Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of construction.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
