Job Title: Food Cost Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• You will be required to focus on computing and recording day-to-day financial calculations, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, preparing taxes and checking financial records for errors.

Responsibilities 

• Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine food costs.
• Analyzing changes in food design, raw materials, production methods, to determine effects on food cost
• Analyzing actual production costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Assisting the cost controller
• Designing a food cost model according to the nature of food production lines
• Preparing Monthly, Quarterly and Annual food cost forecasts
• Identify and recommend Food cost-effective solutions
• Analyzing audits of food costs and preparing reports
• Making estimates of new and proposed food costs
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
• Assisting the Financial Reporting team during Month end close of the General Ledger

Requirements

• Must have a B.Sc Degree/HND certificate in Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience
• Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Excel and office software
• Preferred candidate should be a Chartered Accountant
• Experience in handling payables and receivables.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Salary
N200,000 - 250,000 monthly.
