Job Title: Digital Marketing & Technology Manager - Crypto Publication

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for managing our WordPress Website, Digital Marketing Activities, Social Media Accounts, and Technology Tools.
• Participate actively as a member of the Management Team to develop the business, develop new products, expand into new areas, and build positive 3rd party relationships.
• Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies, including social media advertising, email marketing, paid ads (Pay Per Click (PPC), display ads, etc.) Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
• Building and maintaining the brand’s presence across multiple social media channels.
• Liaise with external technology providers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the platform, including the timely remediation of any problems.
• Publish Articles on the website and ensure proper use of tags, keywords, featured images, SEO (links, meta descriptions), etc.
• Manage our Social Media accounts, including posting high-quality content on Web3 and the Crypto-economy, including articles, polls etc.
• Serve as the Lead Community Manager for our various social media channels (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, etc), and respond to comments, DMs, and shares.
• Draft / Review posts for our social media channels. Repost snippets of web content on public directories like Medium & Quora.
• Manage the Graphic Designer to ensure professional images are created for DeFi Planet publications.
• Research and identify trending news/happenings on Crypto, DeFi, Blockchain and Web3 (from credible sources), and share with the writers & editors for content development.
• Conduct in-depth research into crypto-related topics, including blockchain projects, crypto platforms, DeFi protocols, NFTs, DAOs, crypto gaming, crypto metaverses, etc., and track emerging trends in the blockchain sector.
• Develop multimedia content including animated videos, reels, memes etc.
• Publish our weekly DeFi Planet Newsletter on LinkedIn and send to our Email subscribers.
• Lead the production of our audio podcast show, the ‘DeFi Planet Podcast’.
• Use analytics data and SEO research to understand what our users want and seek to fill gaps in the market.
• Proactively supporting business development activities. Proactively join social media channels of blockchain firms & projects and reach out to develop relationships.

Requirements (Essential)

• Degree in a relevant area, e.g., Computer Science, Marketing, Media etc.
• Native English speaker with excellent communication skills.
• At least 3 years’ experience in digital marketing, SEO, and content marketing.
• A good understanding of, or strong interest in, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
• Experience of working with WordPress.
• An enthusiastic individual who is passionate about technology, innovation, blockchain, and the crypto economy.
• Impeccable attention to detail. You have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and operational qualities.
• Strong interest in understanding emerging technologies e.g. AI, data science, etc.

Desirable:

• Experience in working for a Publication or Crypto/DeFi organisation.
• Experience and knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
• Knowledge of one or more software programming languages.
• Demonstrable experience in growing brand audiences in previously held positions.

Remuneration

• Salary: N80,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
• Plus a discretionary 13th month / Xmas bonus.
