Job Title: DevOPs Specialist

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• As a technology solutions senior, you know what it takes to turn bold ideas into breakthrough solutions by combining digital technologies with what works across the world’s leading businesses, you use agile approaches to help clients solve their toughest problems fast—the first time.
• Support the architecting and design of the logical and physical infrastructure, databases and tools required by the project teams across various projects and across various platforms e.g., ms azure, google cloud platform, amazon web services platform
• Implement and proactively monitor and maintain the agreed design of the logical and physical infrastructure, databases and tools required by the project teams across various projects and across various platforms e.g., Ms Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services Platform
• Lead the creation of and manage the health of ci/cd pipeline for all codes/ microservices for various project environments (e.g., dev, test and production) using various devops tools e.g., Azure kubernetes services and docker containers
• Take ownership and proactively manage all applications, databases and tools of the project team including configurations of api gateways to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot connectivity and deployment issues of all applications, databases and tools hosted on various platforms
• Configure polices and security certificates, tools etc. on cloud resources to ensure high security and compliance to professional standards
• Set Up relevant architecture on production for resiliency and disaster recovery of the codes/microservices architecture
• Proactively seeks and recommend improvement opportunities to internal team processes, frameworks and standards.
• Keep up to date with the latest devops engineering practices
• Provide guidance to supervised team in all aspects of devops engineering including optimisation and troubleshooting and ensure they adhere to development standards ensure proper documentation
• Perform other related tasks assigned by verraki technology lead

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Membership of Professional Organizations/ Associations and / or certifications will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification relevant experience
• Previous experience in a reputable software development and consulting company
• Demonstrable achievements in landmark projects

Skills / Competence:

• Deep expertise in implementing various DevOps practices In MS Azure platform
• Experience in implementing various DevOps practices In other platforms such as GCP and AWS is an advantage
• Deep expertise in design, implementing and managing logical and physical cloud infrastructure
• Experience in design and implementing logical and physical hybrid cloud infrastructure is an advantage
• Experience deploying solutions for both web and mobile across various operating systems and databases
• Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently
• good task management and personal time management skills
• Strong code documentation skills
• Excellent project planning and management skills
• Excellent team management.
