Job Title: V-Deck Access Expert
Location: Nigeria
Job Responsibilities and Functions
The V- deck installation Expert is responsible for all items in relation to V-deck access activities (Material, project, resources).
He is the technical expert in this area, he is responsible in ensuring that all the needs of the site are met as regards calculation note, drawing, daily checklist and inspection certificate.
He is assisted by his Supervisor or Foremen and shall provide the means necessary such as correct tools, planning, schedule so that they can work in a safe and professional manner.
Main Responsibilities
Work closely with Site Manager
Knowledge of his job description
Responsible for all v-deck resources availability
Organize and program the training for all his resources (Supervisor, Forman, Workers),
Follow closely all V-deck Material of the company.
Help the estimation department to solve access issues during the preparation of the technical offer.
Carry out visit on site to control the quality and the productivity of the Job.
Follow up/update and be responsible for producing as much as possible accurate data pertaining to the quantities of equipment available per site and in stock schedules.
Respect working time/ arrangements given by Operations Manager
Participate in weekly meetings with the Operation Manager
Anticipate the daily needs of access for operations and supervise the preparation of baskets to be transferred from the barge to the site.
Report to logistic team on consumption level, anticipate the needs of v-deck required to execute scopes, and ensure with logistic officer that supply of materials is made.
Prepare a monthly inspection plan for the material on site or in the store area.
HSE Responsibilities:
Actively participate in HSE activities, including toolbox meetings and HSE meetings.

Proactively Identify hazards and assess risks related to operations activities.
Involve in the identification of environmental aspects and impact, including the consideration of environmental impact as regards operations.
Identify and notify HSE manager of any legal or other requirements, including update of applicable registers.
Ensure the establishment of QHSE objectives each year.
Complies with all health, safety environmental as well as legal requirements to which company subscribes.
Assisting in execution of the contract in a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible manner.
QMS Responsibilities:
Actively take part in QMS activities and processes
Ensure Quality Objectives are set, tracked and monitored accordingly.
Complies with company quality policy as well as regulatory and legal requirements to which company subscribes to
Ensure risks and opportunities are identified and established.
Ensure Stakeholder’s Matrix are established.
QMS conformance, risk-based thinking and customer focus promotion
Ensure proper management and control through process and procedures.
Person Specification
Education, Training and qualifications:
IRATA Level 3 rope access technician
Level 2 VTS trained.
Minimum 500hrs onsite as level 2 VTS installer
Leadership skills course as per company policy.
OPITO Level 3 rigger.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in scaffolding works preferably in fabrication/construction or oil and gas industry.
