Job Description

• We are recruiting to fill the position of Vegetable Production Supervisor to join our team to manage the production of high-quality leafy vegetables to support Farm Stand, Wholesale, and operations and ensure a positive customer/farming experience.

• This position will be responsible for preparation of planting program, crop nutrition and protection plans, ​​overseeing day-to-day activities on the field, supervision of field staff, management of equipment, maintenance of production and spray records, and enforcement of compliance of field operations with applicable regulations.
• This position is full-time year-round and reports to the Agronomist. It is approximately 80% hands-on agricultural work and 20% management.
• Job location is Ibadan, Oyo State with in-season schedule of 6 days per week. However, the successful candidate may be required to work outside Ibadan at the discretion of the management.

Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, the following are required:

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or related field preferred
• 1 - 3 years’ supervisory experience on a vegetable or farm operation or 3 - 5 years related agricultural experience (nursery/horticulture/greenhouse production).
• OND holder with at least 6 to 8 years of experience will be considered.
• Experience in tomatoes, cucumber, cabbage, sweet melon and other vegetables is compulsory.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively plan and manage all aspects of the production process.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and pitch in to support other areas as needed.
