College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Obohia-Ndoki, was conceived as a dynamic agent of change in this part of the world. We have continually witnessed the increasing need for quality health care services development in the world in recent years, this has brought about the need for a World Class College of Nursing and Health Sciences which will trained and certify qualified Nurses, Midwives, Public Health Nurses and all other related Health Science Professionals.

This Institution is the first of it's kind in Abia State and indeed the entire East of the Niger. The main aim of this project is to key into the Federal Government idea of the moving Nursing Education into Colleges of Nursing in Collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This is to ensure that Nursing and Midwifery Education in Nigeria evolve in line with the National Policy on Education and the contemporary system of Education in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nurse Educator / Midwife Educator

Location: Obohia, Abia

Description

• Nurse Educators and Midwife Educators are registered nurses (RN) with a minimum of a Degree in Nursing or Midwifery who serves as a teacher for other nurses.
• They are to serve as lecturers and instructors in the department of nursing science and midwifery respectively.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a minimum of a BNSc in Nursing
• Registered Nurse Educators Certificate
• Registered Midwife Educators Certificate
• NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
• Higher Degree such as; MSc and PhD shall be added advantage

Other Requirements:

• Candidates must demonstrate evidence of strong academic and administrative leadership, good human relations and positive management attributes.
• They shall be of proven personality, integrity and transperancy in private and public life; should command respect as well as attract cooperation and loyalty of staff and students.

Terms of Appointment

• All appointment will be on full time and salary negotiable.
• The Condition of Service are as contained in the staff Condition of Service.
