WaterAid is an international non-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people break free from poverty and disease, unlock their potential and change their lives for good through improved access to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. WaterAid started its operation in Nigeria in 1995. Since then it has successfully executed several intervention programmes as outlined by its objectives and has made impact in the lives of the very poor. WaterAid with the country office in Abuja currently works in Bauchi, Enugu and Plateau States with funding from various donors and partners.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

About the Role

• As our Executive Director, International Programmes, you will lead an exceptional team of 750 talented staff, working with our partners to develop and deliver WaterAid UK’s country programmes in Africa and South Asia. You will provide leadership across the WaterAid federation to develop our overall portfolio of work and the standards that support this.
• Responsible for a budget of circa £60 million, you will oversee our ambitious strategy for growth and diversity in restricted funding, and our partnerships with institutional donors.
• And, as a member of the WaterAid UK Directors team and federation Global Executive, you will be jointly responsible for the wider leadership, management and development of the organisation.
