Overview

• The Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) was established by the Health Sector Reform Law 2006 with the mandate to improve the quality and efficiency of health care services to residents of Lagos State. This law empowers HEFAMAA in performing her functions to delegate her responsibilities to franchise agencies.
• As one of these franchise companies, We have been tasked with conducting monitoring of both public and private health facilities in specified Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Lagos State. Monitoring of health facilities shall be conducted primarily to ensure that facilities are operating within the basic licensure requirements and complying with set standards. Specifically, we shall undertake the following activities during this pilot phase of this project:
  • Map out the schedule of biannual visits to all public and private health facilities in the assigned LGAs
  • Conduct monitoring activities to public and private facilities in assigned LGAs
  • Carry out necessary actions at each health facility depending on the gravity of infraction noticed during monitoring visit.
  • Carry out other necessary activities related to monitoring activities as might be necessary and approved by HEFAMAA.

Who We're Looking For

• We are seeking a medical doctor who possesses leadership acumen with a background in healthcare quality and is passionate about healthcare quality assurance, improvement and transformation.
• You'll lead a monitoring team comprising of other inter disciplinary healthcare professionals.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to partake in routine monitoring of health facilities under the assigned LGs in Lagos State
• Ensure that health facilities are upholding and adhering to the set guidelines and standards per schedule through QA and QI actions
• Score health facilities using the monitoring tools provided by HEFAMAA during monitoring visits
• Enforce HEFAMAA guidelines by carrying out the necessary actions at each facility during monitoring activities
• Conduct necessary activities pertaining to monitoring activities as may be assigned periodically by the CEO
• Submit daily and weekly audit reports based on monitoring findings to the CEO and HEFAMAA
• Represent the organization to partake in routine stakeholder meetings with HEFAMAA

Required Skills & Competencies

• A qualified Medical Doctor (MBBS or MD) with at least 2 years of postgraduate clinical experience
• At least 2 years proven record of similar experience
• Relevant trainings and/or certifications in healthcare quality assurance
• Deep understanding of relevant international & domestic clinical best-practices, guidelines and SOPs
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized and self-sufficient

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
