Job Title: Manager, Development Sector

Overview

• As a Manager in the Development Sector, you will lead a team of associates to provide expert advice and support to clients in the development sector.
• Your main responsibility will be to deliver high-quality services and insights to clients, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and contribute to business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of advisory services to clients in the development sector, including designing and implementing programs that address their specific needs.
• Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on issues related to sustainable development, including sustainability, climate change, inclusive business, ESG, value chain management, monitoring and evaluation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders in the development sector, and garner insights that can translate into business opportunities.
• Develop proposals and pitches for new business opportunities and contribute to the firm's business development efforts.
• Identify and engage relevant products, solutions, systems and partners in the eco-system.
• Manage project teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work that meets client needs and expectations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations, including those related to ethical and professional standards.
• Develop thought leadership materials and contribute to the firm's knowledge base and insight driven client engagement.
• Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree  in a relevant field, such as International Development, Public Policy, or Business
• Minimum of 10 years of cognate experience in development sector within and outside Nigeria.
• Experience working with multilateral organisations, development partners and other international foundations will be a plus
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality advisory services to clients in the development sector and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage project teams effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant policies and regulations related to sustainable development in the development sector.
• Self-driven and ability to work effectively in a team environment, and mentor/coach junior staff members.
