We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Facilities and Data Centre Power System Technician
Responsible for maintaining the Infrastructure related to the Data Center and POPs
Ensuring the Operation, Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Basic Maintenance of HVAC, UPS, Inverters, and other power systems.
Deliverables
Expected Key Results:
Responsible for the regular testing of facility electrical equipment.
Responsible for hands-on maintenance and monitoring of the mission-critical electrical infrastructure in the Data Center and POPs.
Operate all electrical infrastructure on-site with 100% Reliability, Zero downtime, Zero Events.
Monitor and report on electrical facilities system PMs and repairs.
Monitor all cooling equipment and escalate all incidents.
Monitor and report on facilities system PMs and repairs.
These also include cooling and other ancillaries in the Facilities.

Power System Technicians
To carry out all procedures and tasks to ensure 100% Data Center electrical infrastructure availability during maintenance, operation, and all related activities.
Work directly with the IT teams and Other Departments to coordinate preventive maintenance activities as well as infrastructure upgrades
Observe all Policy and Data Center regulations, rules and procedures concerning health, safety and environmental protection, including the use and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain and repair the electrical systems including Electrical Panels, UPSs, Batteries, Light points, Auxiliary electrical, HVACs, Fire detection & suppression panels.
Ensure operational efficiency of Colocation
Assist Other Regions Remotely to Resolve Any Issues where Necessary
Interact with local contractors and vendors as well as internal customers.
Carry out Regular Audits and Site Keeping on the Data Center and POPs as scheduled
Support a culture of teamwork at the site.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of Power system and Incidences
Carry out any other task as directed by the Data Center Manager
Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills
At least a Higher National Diploma (HND) in either Electrical and Electronics or other related disciplines.
Possession of relevant industry certification or training in Electrical Power systems installation, maintenance, and/or repairs.
Knowledge of equipment installation, electrical and mechanical repairs, welding and fabrication, and safety and compliance.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft office suite.
Adept at conducting tests to identify faults.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
The candidate must be able to lift, push and pull up to 20kg.
The candidate must be able to tolerate a temperature of below 20° C for extended periods.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external third parties.
