Overview

• We are looking for a Global Head of Security with the experience and skills needed to be responsible for all security components of the property portfolio for Everty Group, focusing first on our properties in Nigeria before assessing our asset portfolio in other key locations in the globe.
• This position requires the development, implementation, and monitoring of an effective strategy to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations, and provide safety and security of all employees within the YNV portfolio. It will also involve providing risk mitigation strategies as well as crisis management, and will strive to continuously improve the safety and well-being of our employees and tenants.
• This role will operate within the Security Department under the CEO and be based in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Implement site security and emergency preparedness plans and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our personnel and global facilities.
• Responsible for conducting risk analysis, penetration test, and security audits to mitigate crime level, terrorism, workplace violence, and any threat, natural, or manmade disasters, by assessing the properties in different locations, reporting findings, and making cost-effective recommendations to have secure premises.
• Lead, facilitate, and support effective strategies, and develop and maintain global security policies, procedures, and standards to mitigate security and related operational risks to protect personnel, assets, and operations.
• Lead and coordinate ongoing monitoring and analysis on the main security technology systems (access control system, video management system, visitor management system) across YNV operations and provide proactive support and recommendations to leadership on strategies for risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Lead investigation of security incidents and manage security related issues at each facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field alongside certification and advanced training in security management.
• Hold relevant professional qualifications e.g. NEBOSH International Diploma, Security and Protective services.
• 15+ years' experience in security management/supervisory role, including managing teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including effective training and facilitation.
• Strong networks within security bodies in Nigeria.
• Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, proactive, rigorous, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently.
• Capacity for analysis, synthesis, and reporting large amounts of information.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills, supported by excellent presentation and project management skills.
• Unblemished character and have a high degree of personal integrity.
• Able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment while also working independently and managing crises when they arise.
• Able to travel to different locations, with traveling comprising up to 25% of work time.
• Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
