Job Title: Head, Projects Management & Metering Solutions

Job Description

• The job holder has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing all corporate programmes and projects with respect to metering, including identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order to meet project objectives.
• (S)he will ensure appropriate management, customer and supplier involvement throughout the life of the various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Management team, cross-functional teams internally, assigned Disco project teams to plan and develop scope,deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new and existing metering projects
• Develop the metering rollout plans with relevant departments and ensure that they remain realistic, both in terms of budget and overall project plan.
• Regularly review & track the project progress against milestones and take corrective action where required,raising issues with the concerned personnel as needed
• Manage programmes and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
• Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals /objectives
• Work with other programme managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
• Analyse, evaluate, and overcome programme risks, and produce programme reports for management and stakeholders
• Promote and maintain effective partnership with various identified stakeholders
• Guide and lead the project team to achieve specific goals, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the project.
• Ensure procurement and contracts are prepared and issued to Company’s standards and procedures/ legal frameworks / financier requirements and are managed effectively.
• Ensure an entrepreneurial approach to deliver the program, proposing creative solutions, reducing inhibiting business factors and looking for market-based solutions
• Directs all supply chain operations associated with the metering projects from purchasing, inventory management, vendor selection and distribution of finished meters.

Qualifications

• First Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or any other related discipline
• Relevant Post Graduate Degree / professional qualification e.g. MBA is an added advantage
• Good understanding of Power Sector primarily Distribution, EPC and IT enabled projects
• Capable of handling multiple projects  at a time.
