Job Title: Team Lead, E-business & Operations Control

Job Objective(s)

• To ensure that the system of Controls, policies and procedures of First Bank’s e-business department are not only in place but are carried out as prescribed by the bank.
• Regular review and update of control policies in line with applicable frameworks and control best practices for e-payments.
• Development and review of the control work programs and test procedures
• Minimize financial losses, errors and mistakes attributable to control infractions in e-payments business.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify e-Business Products and Services without approved product papers and ensure that product papers are created by the business
• Review e-Business and Transaction Banking Product papers to ensure that controls are embedded to safeguard customers and the bank
• Identify control lapses in e-Business and Transaction Banking Products and Services and ensure controls are instituted to Prevent and/or detect operational/fraud/business losses.
• Identify essential financial and non-financial records and reports required for adequate running of e-Business and payments applications/system ensure that control measures are put in place to safeguard the integrity of the records and reports.
• Identify and ensure Implementation of sound independent control policies and standards covering all sources of risks in e-Business and Transaction Banking products and services
• Periodic review of users profiled on e-Business platforms and solutions to ensure that access is granted on the principle of least privilege (Need-to-have-basis)
• Identify and ensure implementation of Regulatory framework on e-product/services to ensure that the bank is consistently compliant.
• Ensure that e-products complies with the Bank’s KYC and KYCB policy to guide against AML/CFT infractions.
• Review approval and correctness of payment to vendors for card supply in line with agreement.
• Review the expenses incurred by e-Business and Transaction Banking to ensure that the propriety of cost and conformity to established procurement policy of the bank.
• Review the weekly and monthly ATM performance reports to ensure that uptime and availability meets or exceed the regulatory threshold while non-compliant ATMs are promptly reported for resolution.
• Review the list of ATM machines installed during the period and validate adherence to deployment checklist and guideline.
• Review the deployment of POSs to provide assurance that the bank’s policy requirement is adhered to.
• Carry out post onboarding review of merchants on the web services with the bank to provide assurance that relevant KYC/ due diligence has been done on Merchant.
• Report generation of instant card issuance for control review at branch level
• Review of System-accepted Dispense Error claims
• Review of ATM Reconciliation report
• Review of availability and integrity of ATM journal and footage repository application, to facilitate ATM cash monitoring at branch level and prompt resolution of dispense errors in compliance to regulatory directives
• Security administration / risk management on card association platforms (MasterCard Connect, Visa Online)  
• Tracking of operational risk issues raised against respective business functions to ensure prompt resolution of risk issues
• Review of delinquent credit cards to ensure business and CRM pursues timely recovery.
• Timely preparation and rendition of reports (Unusual Incidence, Fraud, Monthly Control Exception Tracking, monthly Control Compliance Index scores)

Job Requirements
Education:

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in a numerate discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Electronics, Accounting, Economics and any other related field)
• Higher degrees /MBA
• Professional certifications -CISA/CRISC, ICAN/ACCA - will be an added advantage

Experience:

• Minimum experience – Five years relevant working experience
