Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Job Description

• The company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager, based in Abeokuta, Nigeria to join the company in this exciting phase of its growth to build the first of its kind fruit processing company in Nigeria.

Job Summary

• To oversee the activities of quality assurance of the factory developing, implementing, and maintaining the safety and quality of products produced.
• Testing, designing, and evaluating processes and methods to ensure that the production processes compile with set standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality specifications for all materials and finished products.
• Establish and maintain a quality control program that ensures products are manufactured to meet standards and specifications.
• Ensure the First pass yield is 100% and the Rework rate is zero
• Develop and maintain quality control monitoring programs.
• Develop and maintain HACCP and its prerequisite programs.
• Collaborate with other team leads to improve waste management.
• Manage and maintain the cleaning and sanitation of the facility.
• Execute planned job rotation and alternatives for all critical roles.
• Build team spirit among team members.
• Manage Staff Performance
• Give daily/weekly / Monthly staff feedback
• Communicate effectively with teams
• Contribute to self and team development
• Develop and implement training programs.
• Drive and implement good manufacturing practices, 5S and
• TQM (Total Quality Management)
• GHP (Good Hygienic Practices)
• Documents and records control and management.
• Trend production data with respect to process improvement and optimization.
• Ensure Safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

Requirements and skills

• B.Sc Degree in Food Science and Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and other related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a quality assurance manager.
• Ideal Leadership and Teamwork
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist
