We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for analyzing our current procurement and purchasing framework and create world class standards for day-to-day operations in partnership with the Network, Planning and Finance team.
He/she will be tasked with monitoring trends, establishing purchasing and supply goals based on company inventory needs;
The Individual will also be responsible for target setting and cascading for the Supply and purchasing Team, negotiating with Manufacturers and providing team Leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Organize, lead, and manage the supply team in full accordance with aligned policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Coordinate and maximize the availability of physical products on Sabi’s platform, and work with network to ensure that availability is converted to profitable transactions.
Appreciate and understand user needs and ensure assortment meets those needs as well as
Sabi’s broader strategic objectives.
Negotiate Contracts with vendors to guarantee best price for procured products including trade and bulk purchase discounts.
Balance Departmental Budgets with Needs.
Provide direction and support for continuous improvement efforts, while upholding the best possible quality standards in coordination with all units.
Maintain and establish new stakeholder network and approaches stakeholder engagement with prominent level of professionalism, including the negotiation of disputes arising from contracts.
Takes ownership of all responsibilities and honours commitments; delivers outputs for which one has responsibility within prescribed time, cost, and quality standards; operates in compliance with organizational regulations and rules.
Properly understand the needs of the users and ensure that the right assortments are made available to meet these needs.
Act as a key liaison with clients on supply and fulfillment related issues
Provide regular progress and status reports to the Head, Supply Chain as specified.
Requirements
Special Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
At least 5 years' working experience in a related field e.g., Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Beauty and Consumer Electronics.
Candidates should have a large procurement network. Existing relationship with already established suppliers.
Experienced with working in a start-up retail company.
Strong Research Skills and Ability to Negotiate contracts and bargains.
Understands the quantitative methods of measuring supplier capacity systems and ability to identify sources of supply, market trends and pricing.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong negotiation skills.
Emphasis on a hard-working and smart individual.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to have frank and honest conversations.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or procurement/supply chain management software.
Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
