Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Hours of Operations: Monday to Saturday.

Job Overview

• Our client is looking to hire qualified and experienced Truck Drivers who will be responsible for transporting and delivery of its client's products to customers and distributors within Lagos and Ogun states.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of products.
• Record products or item deliveries.
• Refuel and clean the vehicle.
• Report road incidents to the supervisor.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Inspect trucks, record issues and submit reports to the mechanics and/or the shift supervisor.
• Follow accident procedures.
• Keep an activities log and log hours.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Get goods to the client on time.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
• Keep commercial driver's license up to date.

Educational Qualification

• SSCE or OND certificate with the ability to read and write.
• This role requires individuals with excellent driving skills and a commitment to safety.
• The driver should possess a class G or D license.
• He must also have good communication and time-management skills as well as the ability to work independently.

Work Requirements:
To qualify for this job, the candidate must possess the following:

• Be between the ages of 25 and 50.
• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, especially with an FMCG company preferably in Lagos.
• Class G driver's license.
• History of a good driving record.
• Understanding of Lagos route and its roads.
• Understanding of traffic rules and signs.
• Ability to drive long hours and sometimes at night.
• Ability to drive HOWO, SINO, and TATA trucks (preferably 6,8, and 10 gears).
