We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mate

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

• The Mate, an entry level position within the Marine department will Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements.
• A candidate for Mate will be expected to immediately begin supplemental training in DP, Vessel Management, and Deck operations to be eligible to advance within the department to BCO / DPO, and Chief Mate / Master.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good safety record from past operations. Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry and the company.
• Valid US Unlimited Third Mates License with Liberian equivalent.
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Compliance with (ABS, Coast Guard, SOLAS, MMS, IMO)
• Nigerian in country resident
• Fluent English communication skills (both oral and written).
