Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and passionate Geography Teacher to join our team at a British Secondary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective geography lessons to students, and preparing them for their IGCSE exams.
• This role requires a strong understanding of the British curriculum and relevant IGCSE experience, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective geography lessons to students.
• Prepare students for their IGCSE exams, including setting and marking assessments and providing feedback.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement the school's curriculum and policies.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, diversity, and academic excellence.
• Provide guidance and support to students who are struggling with their coursework or facing personal challenges.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

• High student achievement and progress in geography, particularly in relation to IGCSE exams.
• Positive feedback from students, parents, and colleagues.
• Effective use of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geography or a related field.
• TRCN and IGCSE certification.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Relevant experience teaching geography at the secondary level, with a strong focus on IGCSE preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of teaching methods and resources for accommodating different learning styles and abilities.
• Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for geography and education.
• Applicants should reside in Abuja.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly
