Qualification & Skills Required

• LL.B, Licensed to practice law from the Bar Association (B.L) with a minimum of seven (7) years of corporate in-house counsel. Master in Law (LLM) or related discipline is recommended.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance issues and versatile in corporate law, legal drafting, litigation, arbitration proceedings andspecial skill in vetting contract and international agreements.
• Excellent knowledge of the laws and regulations guiding the Oil and gas industry and must be a team player, self-motivated and multi-task oriented.

Requirements:

• Ability to work with Contract, Procurement and other departments to achieve company’s contractual and business goals. Preparing drafts of contracts and letters.
• Ability to assist departments and tenders unit in the ongoing administration of existing and new contracts, including advising Contract, Procurement and other departments on contractual rights and obligations.
• Ability to conduct legal analysis and research on various legal matters and the implication of law, legislations, etc., that may affect the organisation.
• Ability to provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters and draft legal opinions, memoranda and other briefing documents.
• Ability to reviews legal materials and any other relevant documents and identify the most important issues that need to be sorted out on a priority basis.
• Ability to provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
• Ability to manage case files, ensuring that summaries are properly prepared and updated, litigation files are properly and securely maintained, and records and documents needed for litigation are collected and organized.
• Ability to formulate best possible legal solution after analysing the legal problem and depth.
• Ability to draft a wide variety of legal agreements and provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions and perform other related duties.
