Assistant Driller Training (ADT) - Real Live Online Special Class (Distant Learning Option) - IDPE

Institute of Drilling and Petroleum Engineering (IDPE) Nigeria is seeking for candidates to enrol in Assistant Driller Training (ADT) Online Course. The course is designed to be delivered by real-time (face-to-face) online live classes. However, to complete the course, all students must go for Rig Practical training which is for 3 to 5 days.

Overview of ADT Online Live Class.
One of the greatest challenges students face is sacrificing time at work to complete training. Luckily, IDPE has a solution for that: our real (face-to-face) online LIVE class eliminates travel and the additional time away from the office. So the minute a class is completed, students are already back to work and able to fulfill their daily responsibilities.

Using the same framework as having an instructor in the room with you, IDPE ADT Online LIVE Classes consists of lectures, demos, Real-time audio and video communication, Interactive whiteboards, Multilingual support in 19 languages, Polling tools, Breakout rooms, Secure recording capabilities, Text chatting, Varied courseware file types and desktop screen, Integrated media player, Attendance reporting and notifications.  Students can download videos of past classes and still get the same lessons they missed.

Class sessions are held on a live video platform and are led by IDPE faculty members. All classes are intentionally kept small — an average of no more than 10 students — to facilitate close collaboration and engaging discussion.

Note:
All students must go for Rig Practical training which is for 3 to 5 days. Rig Practical training is compulsory for the completion of the ADT course. Students can take 3 to 5 days off work for Practical rig exposure.  Those already working on the rig could be exempted from the practical rig exposure after passing our rig practical interview test.

Overview of ADT Course
Due to the high demand for Assistant Drillers for long term and short term work across the Globe. Drilling contractors are constantly searching for Assistant Drillers for various projects all over the globe both onshore and offshore.

Course Objectives:
To provide to the student the knowledge and skills to move into the Assistant Driller position and perform the assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

Requirement:

• Minimum of Diploma in Technical Education. Students with years of working experience will be considered.
• All students for this programme are required to have a laptop with Microsoft office 2010 version installed in it with acrobat reader. Please check the version of the MS office in your computer to confirm if it corresponds with the requirement. 
• Students must have internet access, a head set with microphone and speakers. All registered students will be given access to join the online live class.

• Oil Drilling Operations
• Offshore Operations (surface and Subsea Operations)
• Rotary Drilling Well Control
• HSE IADC Rigpass
• Man- Management and Rig management (supervisory level course)
• Rig Inspection
• Practical Rig Training ( Covering Roustabout, Floorman, Derrickman Assistant Driller Duties )

Course Duration: 20 Days. (17 days classes and assessment and 3 days Rig Practical).

At the end of this Course students will receive the following certificates:

1. IADC, Assistant Driller Certificate under IADC Drilling Industry Training Certificate (DIT)
2. IADC HSE Rigpass Certificate
3. IADC Well Control Certificate, Mandatory for every drilling personnel coming on board a rig.
4. IDPE Man- management and Rig management certificate.
5. IDPE Rig inspection Certificate.
6. IDPE Practical Rig exposure Certificate

Course Date: 
Classes starts on April 11th 2015. Classes will run twice in a week, Saturdays and Sundays.  Time: 2pm – 6pm WAT (West African Time). 

Course Fee:  $3,000    
Course fee for Assistant Driller traditional face–to–face class is $3,600. You can save $600 if you register for Assistant Driller Online Live class in April. The first 5 registrants will get extra $100 discount.
