Job Description

• Destination Trading Manager – Travel Industry – A fantastic opportunity in an expanding team where you will be responsible for the commercial performance and travel products in the company.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for developing product strategies, analyzing data to implement pricing strategies, onsite merchandising, pricing strategies and driving performance.
• You will create destination-specific trading strategies, monitor data to recognize trends and risk opportunities, work with the supply teams to ensure they have the best price point and offers available, execute pricing and promotions strategies whilst monitoring margins.
• You will be responsible for the customer journey including merchandising on landing pages, hotel rates and content, you will also work closely with the wider performance and partnerships marketing teams.
• You may also travel a few times a year to host FAM trips or to attend trade shows.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Interested candidates should possess a University Degree or College Diploma in Tourism, Business, Marketing, Communications or Public Administration with 3 - 5 years work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of destination travel products, their potential and position in the marketplace
• Experience in government, business, tourism or travel trade
• Experience in marketing, promotion or business development
• Research, analytical and planning skills
• Sales abilities
• Management or supervisory experience
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Proven financial management skills
• Development and management of campaigns or promotions experience is desired
• An extended network of contacts is an asset
• A university Degree or College Diploma in tourism, Business, Marketing, Communications or Public dministration is usually required.

Required:

• Hands-onSkills experience in trading a destination (ie hotels and ground services) including pricing and product in an online / e-commerce environment
• Must have strong knowledge of short-haul destinations (ideally Spain) and the rest of Europe
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• An excellent team player, communication and cross-functional team working ability
• Ability to work with BI/MI tools to extract information, creating insight from data.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 monthly
