Job Title: College Librarian

Location: Misau, Bauchi

Job Description

• The College Librarian is a Principal Officer of the College, who shall be responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration and coordination of the College Library and other Library services of the College.

Qualifications / Experience

• Must be a Deputy Librarian or equivalent.
• A candidate must have a minimum of MLS with at least 18 years cognate experience in a library, Relevant publications in Journals and textbooks equivalent to that of a chief lecturer is a must or Doctorate Degree with at least 15 years' cognate experience.
• Must demonstrate academic excellence in quality publications, teaching and research and credible community services.
• Must be of sound mental and physical health.
• Must be person of high integrity and unquestionable character.
• Must be computer literate and have a demonstrable competence in information and communication technology.

Terms and Conditions
The College Librarian shall be appointed for a period of five years in the first instance and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a final term of another five years only subject to satisfactory performance.
