About the Role

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Remote DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and is comfortable with designing and implementing robust and scalable systems.
• As a Remote DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation and management of our CI/CD infrastructure, ensuring the smooth delivery of our software products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
• Test implemented designs.
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
• Handle code deployments in all environments.
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
• Manage CI and CD tools with team.
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
• Improve infrastructure development and application development.
• Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rotations, troubleshoot potential issues, and fix existing ones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in working with Linux/Unix administration.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with AWS, GCP, or other cloud services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, Ruby.
• Experience in working with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
• Experience in managing CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or similar.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring and logging systems.
• Understanding of network protocols, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing and Firewall.
• Familiarity with software security and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a startup environment.
• Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer are a plus.
• Experience with serverless approaches using AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions is a plus.
• Experience with database technologies, including Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) databases.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
