Job Title: Internal Control and Compliance Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Internal Auditor/ Internal Control Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance with internal processes and procedures and reporting to Management on how to mitigate against possible risks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and report key risk indicators arising as a result of transactions carried out across the company and ensure steps are taken to mitigate the same
• Ensure Compliance with CBN policies and operational guidelines at the company level
• Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and best practices.
• Investigate and report violations of processes and procedures and regulatory standards across the operations of the Firm including but not limited to finance with effective action plans in response to discoveries and compliance violations.
• Prompt reporting of working capital for SBUs
• Investigation and reporting of a breach of internal control or policies to the HR Department or CEO
• Review of each transaction to foster transaction assurance.
• Ensure effective cost management and value for money audit.
• Investigation of exceptions discovered.
• Ensuring anti-money laundering reports are promptly placed and well documented.
• Review of General ledgers and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Presentation of monthly Audit/Compliance reports to management and as may be required
• Ensure there is proper approval and documentation for all financial transactions with zero cases of inadequate approval or non-retirement of funds.

Requirements

• First Degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration or a relevant field.
• 4-5 years' experience managing internal control and compliance in the financial services industry
• Relevant professional certifications such an ICAN, ACCA, etc.
• Good knowledge of CBN policies and relevant experience in a microfinance bank, commercial bank or a financial institution.
• Good communication and organizational skills

• Prior experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 monthly.
