We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project and Solutions Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Core Duties

• Participation in the configuration of all IT network hardware – Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points, Linux Servers, IPTV equipment, VOIP Equipment, Network Door Locks, Digital Signage equipment amongst many other products and services
• . Management, delivery and administration of IT network deployments and project works of all sizes. Responsible for all phases of project deployment - pre-deployment to post-deployment administration.
• Coordination and execution of Wireless LAN Surveys using survey tools such Ekahau, AirMagnet.
• Coordination and execution of post-survey reporting, including design and generation of proposals with Bill of Materials.
• Participation in coordinating and management of field engineering operations and technical staff on engineering projects within the company, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget and within project specifications.
• Coordinating efforts and ensure that effective communication exists between the different departments involved in projects.
• Ensuring resource allocation for effective and efficient project management and delivery.
• Cordination with project management and non-technical teams to interpret and resolve technical challenges.
• Working as part of a team of Project Engineers, and be expected to work alongside and where necessary, assist other project engineers within the department.
• Liaising closely with client Project Managers and carry out essential tasks that enable the smooth running of all project worksfrom start to finish
• Conducting regular travel to project sites for various tasks including client meetings and interaction on behalf on company, project meetings, quality assurance and project certification works.
• Working hours that are required to meet project deadlines and the needs of the business.

Skills / Requirment / Experience

• IT Networking experience
• Network+, CCNA, CCNP, Linux, CWNA or equivalent experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of the conducting of WiFi surveys, and reporting.
• Linux administration/experience is an advantage
• Experience with IT network configuration – Routers, Switches, WiFi access points, WiFi Controllers, Firewalls, IoT, Servers, PC Imaging, Linux OS
• Good knowledge of basic IT networking principles – VLANs, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, IPv6, LAN, WAN, ROUTING
• Good knowledge of IT network cabling – Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7, Optical Fibre, Coax, GPON.
• Good understanding of the concept of design of and building physical IT networks
• Decent experience with WiFi network deployment Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to be creative, using software, to solve business administration problems
• Good experience using software to build documentation and manage project work.
• High level of numeracy and literacy competence.
• High level of desktop software compentcy
• Good problem solving skills.
• High personal organisation

• Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work whilst in a busy environment.
