Job Title: Solution Architect

About the Role

• We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our dynamic team.
• The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing system architectures that will meet business needs.
• The Solution Architect's responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams.
• They should also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in systems architecture projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, business representatives, and subject matter experts to design IT systems and programs.
• Gather requirements and functional specifications, assessing the technologies in use or required for the project.
• Translate the client's business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs.
• Create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution.
• Define the structure of the system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization.
• Develop and present proposals and final agreements.
• Provide supervision and guidance to development teams.
• Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
• Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
• Previous project management experience is advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript, Python).
• Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
• Proficient understanding of software quality assurance principles.
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail.
• High-quality organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.

Preferred Skills:

• Masters's Degree in a relevant field.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect or similar.
• Experience in a start-up environment.

Work Environment:

• This is a full-time position. We are open to remote candidates.
