We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal and Compliance Associate

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Provide general legal advisory
• Responsible for drafting, reviewing contracts and relative documents for new and ongoing business transactions to protect the business legal right.
• Advising the business on general business law issues, financial matters including but not limited to corporate matters, safety, security, insurance, employee’s relation, and sustainability issues.
• Ethics and compliance and governance services
• To anticipate and manage the (Legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations.
• Provide accurate and timely counsel to the business in a variety of areas (Labor Law, corporate finance, building construction etc).
• Undertake statutory fillings for clients at various regulatory bodies E.g. Including but not limited to CAC, LABSCA, FIRS, etc.
• Draft agreement, contract, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal consultations to all departments/units where necessary and ensure the company’s interest is well protected.
• Serve as custodian of all Company service level agreement and other related document (make it more robust).
• Responsible for all C.A.C legal compliance issues ensuring proper filling of annual returns and giving necessary notifications to the Corporate Affairs Commission.
