Role overview

• We’re looking for a BI Specialist, who is very passionate and can develop and maintain BI solutions.
• You must be able to transform data, gain understanding and use that insight to dig deeper and present a straightforward data story.
• Must be conformable, communicating findings and insight across multiple business levels.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains BI solutions, including data models, data pipelines, and reporting and analytics tools
• Works closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design solutions to meet those needs
• Tests and troubleshoots BI solutions to ensure they are functioning correctly and meeting business needs
• Monitors and optimizes BI solutions to ensure performance and scalability
• Collaborates with other IT teams to integrate BI solutions with other systems and applications
• Provides technical support and training to end-users of BI solutions
• Stays up-to-date with the latest BI technologies and trends, and makes recommendations for new tools or approaches
• Conducting data quality checks and implementing measures to ensures data accuracy and completeness
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization based on data insight

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Degree in the Information Technology field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Math, Science, Engineering)
• 5 Years of experience in a Business Intelligence and/or Data Analyst role, with a focus on analyzing and understanding business problems
• Strong knowledge and proven experience using SQL
• Strong knowledge of and experience with tools like Looker, QlikView, Tableau or PowerBI
• Prior experience in designing and implementing performance measures to track business or product KPIs
• A fundamental in identifying patterns or regions in products or behaviors that indicate opportunities for business process improvement
• Excellent analytical and forecasting ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understand current data protection and privacy laws, e.g., GDPR.

Skills:

• Looker, dbt (or any other data pipelines tool), bigquery (or SQL).
