Job Brief

• We’re looking for an Advertising Designer who can conceptualize and execute high-level creative ideas that tell our story (primarily) as well as our clients’ stories in a visually compelling way.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates their ability to think strategically and execute flawlessly on both print and digital platforms.
• He or she will be a master of Adobe Creative Suite, with a keen eye for detail, strong typographic skills, and an understanding of layout, grid systems, and colour theory.
• The advertising designer will work closely with the Creative Director and other creative teams to develop concepts and execute designs that meet the objectives of ours and our clients’ campaigns.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead designer on multiple advertising campaigns and internal brand communications projects, working with copywriters, art directors, and other designers to develop concepts that meet defined objectives.
• Create high-quality designs for print, digital, and social media platforms, including but not limited to banner ads, photo-manipulation, website landing pages, email newsletters, and infographics.
• Incorporate branding guidelines into all designs while also maintaining a fresh, modern aesthetic.
• Effectively manage multiple projects at various stages of development, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
• Present design concepts to clients and internal teams, soliciting feedback and making revisions as needed.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, sharing knowledge with team members as appropriate.
• Assist in the development of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of time spent on each project for billing purposes.
• Participate in brainstorms and contribute ideas to help move projects forward.
• Proactively seek out feedback from teammates and clients to improve future work.
• Handle all file management and archiving for completed projects.
• Provide support to other designers as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, or related field (added bonus)
• 3-5 years professional experience with a strong portfolio of work
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Exceptional layout, typography, and colour skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-have Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Experience with animation and motion graphics
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles

Salary
N100,000 - N250,000 / Month.
