We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager (with Financial Acquisition Background)

Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • As an Assistant Project Manager with a financial acquisition background, your primary responsibility will be to support the project management efforts related to financial acquisitions, mergers, or strategic partnerships.
  • You will assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring the successful completion of financial acquisition initiatives within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Support the project manager in developing project plans, timelines, and milestones for financial acquisition initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting research and analysis on potential acquisition targets, including financial due diligence and valuation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, align project objectives, and ensure effective communication.

Financial Acquisition Execution:

  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring the execution of financial acquisition projects, including legal documentation, financial modeling, and integration planning.
  • Support the project manager in conducting negotiations, documenting agreements, and managing the acquisition process.
  • Monitor project progress, track tasks, and provide updates to stakeholders on project status and deliverables.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Assist in collecting and analyzing financial data, market research, and other relevant information to support decision-making during the acquisition process.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on project status, financial performance, and key milestones.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial and project-related data.

Risk Management:

  • Help identify potential risks and challenges associated with financial acquisitions and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project risks, assist in addressing issues, and escalate as necessary to ensure project progress.
  • Assist in conducting post-acquisition evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Support the project manager in engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, legal counsel, investors, and target companies.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the project manager, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing project-related documentation.
  • Help organize and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in financial acquisition projects or related roles is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis, due diligence processes, and project management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary
N50,000 - N70,000 Monthly.
